The London Loom is the home of freestyle weaving in London. Why? Because we’re ace – just ask our customers, last week someone hugged us on her way out and said “That was my dream night”, thanks Sally, you’re our dream too.
Our studio is pretty magnificent, we have over 400 yarns for you to play with, there are loads of natural fibres to choose from but also a heck ton of neon eyelash yarns and pom pom yarns from Japan to experiment with.
Our price includes the loom which we have made by a local joiner just for us, the tapestry comb that we design specifically for our classes and a tapestry needle. We don’t expect you to finish your piece in the class because this is a slow and meditative craft, so we make sure you have everything you need to carry on weaving at home.
If you want to learn how to weave on a tapestry loom in an inspiring studio with enthusiastic teachers and good music, we’re your place.
We’ve also just started our Tapestry Club which take place in our studio once a month, so when you’ve learnt the ins and outs of your new loom you can come along and get full use of our epic yarn wall.
Tapestry Weaving FAQs
What should I bring?
Your creativity! We provide everything you need for all of our sessions. If you have a special yarn that you’d like to incorporate, bring it along.
And beers. Bring some beers.
What if I'm late?
Rats. This is a group class so we have probably started without you. You are more than welcome to join the rest of the session.
How big is the class?
Not too big. We can seat up to 12 people.
What do I get to keep?
The best bits! Your loom and with your unfinished work, your tapestry comb and needle. We sell scissors roving and dowel if you want to purchase these at the end of the class. Or, come along to a Next Level Tapestry Weaving workshop and finish your piece with us.
