So we got you hooked on weaving and now you want to make something even more unique? Thought so. Let’s get you measuring warp and threading up the loom like a pro.
Learn how to make your own fabric entirely from scratch. You will start by planning your warp, stripes? rainbow? All neon pink? (oh, that’s just us) It’s up to you – this is your chance to experiment with colours and make a cloth that is entirely your own. You’ll learn to use a warping frame, how to thread your warp onto the loom ready for weaving and then you’ll get the rest of the day to weave onto your own warp using our huge selection of yarns.
This class requires that you’ve already taken one of our beginners freestyle weaving classes so that you already know the basics of how to use our equipment. This class is for those of you who’ve tried us out and want to progress to the next level. Thinking about buying your own loom? This class would be perfect for you too.
What length will be my finished piece?
Good question. You will make just under two mts of warp, which is approximately 100 threads. This will create a piece of around 25cms in width and 1.5 mts in length.
8 hours is a long time no?
Well yeah! But you are most welcome to take a break in the lovely cafe or park next door.
